The Portland State Alumni Association is hosting an etiquette dinner for current students to enhance their career and professional development. The dinner might be beneficial for international students who are new to the USA. It will take place on Tuesday, January 29 from 5:45 to 8:45pm in SMSU Ballroom. Tickets are $10 in advance and $25 at the door. The dinner will be lead by etiquette expert Simi Ranajee who will guide students
step-by-step through proper meal etiquette while they enjoy a four-course dinner. Alumni from various fields will participate in this event to help students learn how to combine mealtime manners with effective networking. Dress code is business formal, purchase tickets here
Winter season sports are the most enjoyable because you never have to worry about the outside temperature! Head to the Stott Center to watch women’s and men’s basketball this month, tickets are free for students with ID. Check out the schedule here
Susan Forrester is a full-time student in the Masters in International Management program. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Portland State University. After living in Seoul, South Korea for two years she was interested in finding a career that linked Oregon and Asia together through trade. Susan enjoys the diverse background of the MIM student body that allows her to frequently practice her beginner level Chinese.
