Reflection: The End of Summer Term

Hello MIM students. Summer break has started. What is your plan for this summer break? Let’s review what we have learned so far from this term!

The summer term had been the busiest term for me by far because we have a capstone project, language class, two specialization classes, and negotiation class. Although our language class was only one month long, it was intensive since we are starting to execute the capstone project. This term we have started to chose our specializations from the following options: Global Marketing, Global Supply Chain Management, Global Sustainability and International Finance.  I have chosen to study both Global Supply Chain Management on Global Sourcing and International Finance on Business Valuation. The reason I chose to do both options because my background is accounting and I still would like to improve my financial analysis skills. However, I am very interested in Global Supply Chain Management as well because right now many companies are recruiting the positions on Supply Chain Management. I personally think that by having accounting or finance background will help me in the long run. Additionally, we have negotiation class where I found it is really helpful in real life experience when we are planning ahead of time.

Other than those classes, I have mentioned earlier that we are now starting to work our capstone projects. At the end of summer term, we had to have our Scope of Work signed and approved by our clients in order to get a pass for this term. Although now it is officially summer break for MIM students, we still need to work on our capstone project during the break. Therefore, we are not really having break but we can still enjoy the sunshine!

Have a great break everyone!
