Growth of Asia’s Pacific Rim economy:

-Asia’s overall share of the world economy will rise to 43% from its current 35% in the next 10 yrs.

-East Asia is projected to become the largest overall consumer region on the planet in the next 15 yrs.

-Asia’s share of global financial market is projected to grow to 12.8% by 2013, compared to 6.5% for Europe and 7% in North America

-One sign of profound modernization in Asia: half of the overall population will be living in urban areas by 2025

-1 out of 4 Oregon jobs is linked to export
