An MIM Student in China

Remember last week I told you that during our Asia trip, we will visit Mercy Corps in Beijing.  Bill, a fellow MIM student spent some time doing free-lance work for the organization last year.  Mercy Corps runs the Dandelion School on the outskirts of Beijing.  The school educates children migrant workers who have moved into the city, who in many cases are unable to attend regular public schools.  There are also opportunities for vocational education.  Bill made this video to tell the school’s story.

“[After moving] from the country side to the big city they maybe lost their way. They don’t know how to live in the big city. They don’t know how to develop their career so our school-to-work projects [helps] them fund their dream fund their potential talent.”

Zhang Weiguang, School-to-work Project Coordinator

Great job Bill!  It is exciting to see the kind of projects that MIM students have completed.
